Take a moment to absorb the idea of young men risking long-term brain health for your enjoyment.
Understand that when a player gets a concussion, it’s a brain bruise, with potentially long-term consequences. Try to think about that differently than a high ankle sprain.
Don’t mock any rules designed to try to lessen the impact on brains. If there’s a targeting call, don’t complain that back in your day that wouldn’t have been a penalty.
They’re putting their brains on the line for us. The least we can do is use our brains to consider the consequences and appreciate their sacrifices.
